October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to raise awareness and show our support to breast cancer patients, survivors, and in memory of those who lost their battle, we held “Dress in Pink Fridays” all month long. We also displayed our American Cancer Society donation cans at the teller windows and customer service desks to collect spare change.
Throughout the month customers donated almost fifty dollars in spare change. In addition to this money, we will be donating an additional two thousand four hundred and sixty dollars, which we have accumulated over the last couple of years from our employee snack box. Employees purchase a snack for one dollar, all excess funds after we replenish supplies has been deposited into an account for the benefit of the American Cancer Society.
Thank you to our customers for supporting this cause and to our team for continuing to purchase items from our snack box. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with demand around here!
