From an idea of 29 business and community members in the early 1920’s, to establish a bank to serve the community, “Salem’s first bank”, to a community bank that remains deeply rooted in the community. Salem Co-operative Bank was founded to, and is committed to, providing financial services with honesty and integrity, while remaining a financially sound cornerstone of the community.
From The Great Depression to a global pandemic, the Bank has shown resilience and persevered through trying times in each decade. Salem Co-operative Bank continues to place the needs of our customers, employees, and communities first.
